We are James and Angie Colten and kids, we run a very small club cattle operation in Wise County, in north Texas, and enjoy spending time with our family to raise cattle, pigs, chickens, and gardens. 

We raised small-frame Hereford cattle since 2017. In 2023 we changed our focus to growing our club calf operation. We plan to offer high quality show stock to students in our surrounding area who want to get started raising and showing steers. We recently bred 6 cows and heifers, with our first calves due on the ground in October 2024.

In addition to raising cattle, we raise show pigs each season and compete in major livestock shows and jackpot shows in Texas. We emphasize high bio-security standards in our barn and raise healthy pigs.

We are a dedicated FFA and 4-H family. Angie leads our local 4-H Club and our children are involved in competitionssuch as livestock judging, Ag Products ID, Consumer Decision Making, FFA Creed, Poultry judging, and exhibiting livestock.

In all we do, our guiding principle is to glorify our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. We read His word and pray to give thanks for all we have and all He does in our life. We process a full steer and a pig each year. We garden and grow whatever's in season-- tomatoes, peppers, onions, cilantro, corn, lettuce, jalapenos, more tomatoes.
